Homeschool families sometimes face challenges finding healthy social venues for their students, as well as expertise in subject matters outside the scope of commonly purchased curriculum. Our Hybrid program helps families overcome those challenges.
About
Our Hybrid program (formerly ‘Tutorial) offers homeschooled students of Middle Tennessee the opportunity for an on-campus classroom experience. Students may attend 1, 2 or 3 days a week, and be integrated into a class with their peers. Students attend for the full school day, and move through classes, recess and lunch times. (Learn more about our online options here!)
Our classroom standard is a dynamic and inviting atmosphere where students are encouraged to try new things, embrace challenges, and support one another in the learning process. All courses are taught by specialized teachers in a classroom setting where each student is carefully considered and nurtured.
Hybrid classes are intended to serve as a supplement to homeschool curriculum. Parents can choose from a Language Arts track or a STEM track for their student’s days on campus, and cover the other subjects at home! Semesterly reports are sent, and parents may incorporate that data into end-of-year report cards at home.
iPads function as our main manipulative in the classroom, so all students are required to have one. Depending on the courses your child is enrolled in, additional supplies may be required.
Sample Schedule
Our Hybrid Program is offered in packages of 1, 2 or 3 days per week, from 8:45 a.m.- 3:15 p.m. (Kindergarten is 8:45 a.m.-1:15 p.m.). You may choose any combination of:
Monday/Thursday - STEM Track
Tuesday/Friday - Language Arts Track
Wednesday - Spiritual Emphasis Day
See the following documents for an idea of how your tutorial student might spend their day!

“The Tutorial Program absolutely met our expectations - exceeded them, actually. It is important that the Academy doesn't require us to follow certain curriculum. It was great keeping the flexibility of homeschooling and having the Academy for spiritual, social and academic development. I love how incorporating the homeschool kids in with the full-time students works so well. I love that the teachers really connect with the kids, that they have a goal to connect the kids with Jesus and instill biblical character development. I love the topics and methods used and priorities that the Academy holds. It's great seeing teachers who care so much. My son was always so happy when I picked him up in the afternoon! He loves being at the Academy, loves his friends and teachers.”

My son loves Ms. Vagatai and his classmates so much. The tutorial program has been a Godsend in ways I’m still discovering. We cannot think of any ways to make it better. Leyfon has schooled me on erosion and so many different aspects of gardening and nutrition. We love watching his school videos too. This tutorial experience has been more than we could have prayed for. The Academy has given us the best of both worlds.

“Very happy with the program. Thank you for letting the children be a part of the fields trips and field day. I know that made my daughter feel more a part of her class.”
