The Academy for GOD is a member of the Tennessee State Independent Athletics Association (TSIAA), an association of small schools existing to assist member schools by providing leadership and coordination for the administration of interscholastic athletics, which will enhance the educational experiences of student athletes.
Our athletic program began in the Fall of 2018, and we continue to grow with multiple championships in just our first few seasons. Another noteworthy aspect of our athletic teams is the biblical character the students display on and off the field and/or court. We are proud of our athletes, and the way they represent our Lord Jesus and our school!
Rise Up with us!
Our Phoenix fans are the most faithful supporters of our athletic program. We’d love for you to come cheer on our athletes on the course, field, or court! Check out the calendar to see our next competition.
Boys & Girls Soccer
Our Phoenix soccer program plays in the TSIAA. In just our second season of soccer, our coed Middle School team achieved a championship, undefeated season. Our soccer teams compete in the spring semester, and the sport is open to all of our Focus Level through High School students. In a region of our world where soccer doesn’t typically draw a big crowd, our teams are consistently supported by parents and students who are committed fans.
Girls Volleyball
Our Middle School and High School girls volleyball teams compete in the TSIAA. They have increased in skill and competitiveness each year of the program. These teams play in the Fall semester and the sport is open to all Focus Level through High School students. Our teams battle hard, beam with positivity, and are supported by some of the best cheering sections you will find in the entire region!
Boys & Girls Cross-Country
Our boys and girls cross-country teams compete during the fall semester in the TSIAA, though practices for this sport begin in the summer months. This sport is open to students of all ages (K-12). Paul the Apostle has a lot to say about the endurance of runners and the associative comparisons to living life for our God. These races are such inspirational moments of watching our students train, endure, and finish well. Not only do they finish well, but our school has put forth multiple individuals who have placed in meets as well as championship cross-country teams.
Boys & Girls Basketball
Fall 2020 commenced the Academy’s first Phoenix basketball team with the TSIAA Conference. Since our inaugural season, our middle and high school teams have grown in skill, teamwork, and competition with top rankings in the regular season and playoffs.
Thank you to our sponsors!
The Academy would like to thank Genovations Consulting, MCH Nashville, and Nateland Podcast for their generous contributions to our athletics program.
